About the “Author”

me

I’m what the old fogies call a “Millennial”. I dislike the term and definition. I own a bike I rarely ride, I try to take my travel mug with me everywhere, and I rely on my Kindle, large quantities of good caffeine, and smashed avocado on toast to get me through the day.

That being said, I don’t have social media, I read newspapers, and I call people younger than me “youths”. I also use a lot of commas and type how I speak.

I’m an optimistic nihilist who believes in radical kindness, likes a good rant, and dishing out unsolicited life advice. I often write frivolous rubbish but I sometimes come out with pearls of wisdom. I have no idea what I’m doing with my life or this blog. The plan changes regularly for both. I kind of enjoy the adventure in that, though. I can only hope you stay with me and help me grow as a writer and as a human.

I was published at 13 or 14 years old with a really, really shit short story, but I found a creative outlet that I liked. I’ve never really done anything to improve on the craft but I’m hoping this helps. I play multiple instruments about as badly as I write, and I like to read everything I can get my hands on. My biggest regret is, even if I lived forever, I’d never have enough time to read all the books I want to and consume all the media I wish to. I also don’t really believe in regret.

I’m opinionated, but I relish my beliefs and opinions challenged. It gives me a chance to grow and learn. I find challenging preconceived ideas to be useful for everyone. Ignorance is only bliss for the ignorant. I love discussing “awkward” and “taboo” topics and spend a lot of my time (un)intentionally making people squirm with my forthright and upfront willingness to discuss such things.

Things you should expect from me as an “author”:
1. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Expect nothing and be pleasantly surprised/crushingly disappointed when things happen.

Things you should expect from my Youtube channel:
1. Weird facial expressions
2. Poor editing
3. Substandard video and audio quality
